Estimator - Concrete Paving

The ideal Estimator will have 3+yrs experience bidding heavy highway concrete projects with a self-perform company.

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for estimating costs for concrete paving and transportation projects. This role demands a deep understanding of construction processes and excellent analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for concrete paving projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracts.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather detailed information about projects.
• Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
• Continually enhance knowledge of construction procedures, costs, and regulations to ensure accurate estimating.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in concrete paving estimation or a similar role in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in using estimating software such as HCSS HeavyBid or Bid2Win
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• Proven track record of producing accurate estimates that lead to successful project completions.
• In-depth understanding of the heavy construction and civil engineering industry.
