Estimator - Interiors

We are the leading interior finishes contractor throughout the Greater Columbus market and have still be experiencing tremendous growth! This role will support our Pre-Construction team and is open due to our growing backlog and pipeline.

Project experience in corporate interiors, healthcare, data centers, higher education, multi-family and retail would be preferred as we typically operate exclusively in these project markets!

Job Details:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Estimator to work on a variety of interior construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, cost management, and project management. You will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, managing contracts, and overseeing the pre-construction phase of projects. This role is integral to ensuring our projects are completed on time and within budget, while meeting all building code requirements. Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for interior construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
• Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents to understand project requirements.
• Manage and coordinate the pre-construction phase of projects, including project bidding and value engineering.
• Work closely with project managers, architects, and contractors to develop comprehensive project plans.
• Monitor project progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant building codes and regulations.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Continually monitor industry trends and advancements to ensure our estimating processes remain current and competitive.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on interior projects.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction, including experience with project estimating, cost analysis, and contract management.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Familiarity with building codes and regulations.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience managing contracts.
• Proficiency in using estimating software and other industry-specific technology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
• Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar certification is a plus.
