Job Details
Summary/Objective
Provide estimating and budgeting support for a full range of project opportunities. This role will interact
with and respond to internal and external customer requests, and prepare information needed for
project proposals with other members of the team.
Essential Functions
Analyze drawings, specifications, proposals and other documents to prepare time, cost and
labor estimates for steel fabrication projects
Client relations including relationship building and leadership
Meets with the clients, architects and engineers to investigate potential problems for early
intervention and correction of issues
Conducts new project kick off meetings and assists Managers with tasks associated with new
and ongoing projects such as engineering support
Downloads/prints project drawings and specifications
Establishes and effectively utilizes personal network of associates to develop leads for potential
new projects
Promotes and enforces the Company’s mission, policies and beliefs
Develops and maintains the highest level of customer service
Has a proven track record of accountability and increased responsibilities
Acquires, investigates and compares pricing quotations from a variety of sources, using creative
strategies for identifying the lowest cost and highest value options
Actively seeks development opportunities for continuous improvement
Contacting and working alongside approved vendors for outsourcing of operations as well as
sourcing material when required
Apply knowledge of manufacturing processes, oxy cutting, forming, welding, machining, stress
relieving, blast & paint.
Completing fabrication mechanical drawings based on the internal and external layout, standard
practices, and/or from technical advisories.
