Facilities Maintenance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance professional to join our dynamic Automotive team. This role requires a hands-on individual who is equally adept at managing outside contractors as they are at performing in-house tasks. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our facilities, including cooling and heating systems, replacement of dealership equipment, boilers, motors, and conveyors. The position would oversee two locations. Experience in the automotive dealership industry and a valid driver's license is a plus. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on all facility equipment, including HVAC systems, boilers, motors, and conveyors.
• Manage outside contractors to ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within the agreed timeframe.
• Oversee the work of the groundskeeper to maintain the appearance and safety of our facilities.
• Carry out a range of general contracting tasks, including carpentry, painting, and machine maintenance.
• Install and maintain air conditioning and heating systems.
• Use your knowledge and experience to identify potential issues and implement preventative measures.
• Comply with all safety and health regulations.
• Respond to emergency call-outs as required.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a similar role, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Expert knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, repair, and maintenance.
• Proficient in a range of general contracting skills, including carpentry and painting.
• Experience with motors, boilers, and conveyors.
• Ability to manage outside contractors effectively.
• Experience in the automotive dealership industry is a plus.
• Electrical experience is an advantage.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
