Job Details
This role requires a professional with a strong background in family law and a proven ability to support attorneys in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience in a respected family law practice and will play a critical role in ensuring that all aspects of case management and preparation are executed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize multiple cases to ensure each receives the necessary attention and deadlines are met.
- Oversee attorneys’ dockets, monitoring scheduled activities such as motion confirmations, court filings, and deadlines.
- Coordinate and organize discovery production, including the collection, review, and management of case files and evidence.
- Assist attorneys in preparing cases for filing, mediation, settlement discussions, and trials.
- Provide support for heavy motions practice by organizing documents, managing deadlines, and coordinating communication between attorneys and clients.
- Maintain a detailed calendar and task list to ensure all legal documents and correspondence are handled promptly.
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, attorneys, courts, and opposing counsel, ensuring professional and clear communication.
- Assist with trial preparation by organizing and updating materials for review by the legal team.
- Perform various administrative duties, including document drafting and file management, to support the legal team.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of three years’ experience as a legal secretary or assistant in a family law practice.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in managing attorneys’ dockets and familiarity with court procedures and deadlines.
- Proficiency in coordinating discovery production, including document management and evidence organization.
- Experience assisting lawyers with case preparation for filing, mediation, settlement, and trial.
- Exceptional organizational skills with keen attention to detail and strong task prioritization abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients, attorneys, and external parties.
- Proficiency with legal management software and office productivity tools.
