Job Details

We are a small and growing family law office seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 3-10 years of relevant experience in family law, legal assistance, calendar management, and discovery logs.

The day-to-day!
  • Assist attorneys with legal research, drafting legal documents, and preparing correspondence.
  • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and accessible.
  • Manage the discovery process, including creating discovery logs, tracking deadlines, and organizing relevant documents.
  • Coordinate and manage attorney's calendars, scheduling meetings, court appearances, and client appointments.
  • Ensure attorneys are well-prepared for upcoming engagements by providing necessary documents and information in a timely manner.
  • Arrange travel accommodations and prepare itineraries as required.
  • Answer and direct incoming calls and emails, taking messages or handling basic inquiries.
  • Order office supplies, maintain inventory, and ensure the smooth operation of office equipment.
  • Assist with general administrative tasks, such as filing, scanning, and data entry.

You Bring!

  • 5-10 years of experience as an Executive Assistant or similar role, preferably in a legal environment.
  • Previous experience providing legal assistance, such as research, document drafting, and maintaining case files.
  • Proficient in calendar management and scheduling software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
