Position Description:
  • We are searching for a talented and motivated Field Applications Engineer to join our Industrial Measurements team to provide onsite installation and support services. The position primarily covers the Central U.S. The successful candidate for this role should reside within the Central U.S. and will be vaccinated against COVID-19.

We are a market leader in environmental monitoring systems designed to meet the stringent requirements of FDA regulated GxP customers. Our environmental monitoring system products are part of our global Industrial Measurements business unit, which develops measurement technologies and sells to thousands of customers in life science, power transmission and many other industrial application markets.

This role requires a background that encompasses instrumentation, computer networking and metrology. Our field application engineers travel extensively to customer sites therefore, this role must live within the assigned geographical territory with close proximity to a major international airport. GAMP knowledge and experience with electronic records in the pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing industries (FDA 21 CFR Part 11) is extremely valuable.

Your key responsibilities include:
  • Onsite Single/Multi Point calibrations
  • Plan and book own travel
  • Provide instrumentation service both by phone and/or on site.
  • Troubleshooting, configuration, and documentation of calibrations performed.
  • Provide instrumentation training to customers.
  • Accurately documents instrumentation service work performed.
  • Planning and scheduling work with clients.
  • Managing workload to maintain effectiveness and productivity.
  • Manage expenses and service report.
  • Assist with developing internal process improvements and documentation.

We are looking for someone who has:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 2 or more years of experience in a technical professional role.
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certified training in either metrology, computers or electronics required.
  • Knowledge of low voltage analog signal wiring and basic circuit diagnostics
  • Familiarity with both wired and wireless TCP/IP networks
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently
  • Strong problem solving, communication and organizational skills with a penchant for quality and attention to detail.
  • Current U.S. Passport and willingness to travel internationally, up to 75% annually
  • Ability to work at elevation, enclosed spaces, and in cold environments
