Job Details
This position exists to support overall airport ground operations, and will work to maintain, service, inspect, test, start-up, troubleshoot, repair and modify 400Hz Frequency Converters, Motor Generators and Portable/Fixed PCAir systems, Chillers, Commercial HVAC systems including associated accessories. Responsibilities of the job include:
- Respond to emergency calls for repairs and service
- Prepare, review and submit Field Service Reports, Warranty Documents, Parts Requests, Shipping Documentation and other required
maintenance/administrative documentation
- Work in a safe and efficient manner, maintain good housekeeping, tool control and adhere to all safety policies, including but not limited to NFPA
70E, lock out/tag out, proper PPE utilization and safe driver practices• Interpret electrical schematics and PLC logic
- Adhere to all Federal, State, Local and Company policies, including but not limited to OSHA and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Achieve expected quality standards and delivery of services in accordance with contractual obligations and Cavotec standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Field Service Site Manager
- Majority of work is performed at commercial Airports located within the state. When not on customer's site, you will work in the shop
- Travel is planned in advance when possible however, expect to travel on short notice
Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of relevant experience working on both 400Hz Portable Generators, Frequency Converters, Motor Generators and Portable/Fixed
Air Conditioners, Chillers, Commercial HVAC systems
- 1-3 years of experience maintaining Military or Civilian aviation ground support equipment
- Must have knowledge in the principles of electricity, electronics, general mechanics, heating, HVAC refrigeration and documented by completion of a
technical training course.
- Possess EPA CFC/HCFC Certification
- OSHA 10 Certification or ability to attain one
- Preferred to have documented experience working as a Craftsman (7-level) or higher in Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) 2A6X2, Aerospace Ground
Equipment or Navy AS Rating, Aviation Support Equipment
- Clear Criminal and Driving Records
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
