We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. As a Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our automation machinery, specifically Valmet and Measurex systems. This is a permanent position that offers excellent growth opportunities and competitive compensation.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on Valmet and Measurex automation machinery, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues, utilizing your expertise in Valmet and/or Measurex systems to identify and resolve problems efficiently.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement innovative solutions to improve the performance and functionality of our automation machinery.
• Provide on-site training and technical support to customers, ensuring they have a thorough understanding of the operation and maintenance of the machinery.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, including equipment repairs, parts replacements, and maintenance schedules.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Valmet and Measurex systems, attending training sessions and workshops as necessary.
• Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for service contracts and upgrades, effectively communicating the benefits of our services to customers.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Field Service Technician in the manufacturing industry, with a focus on Valmet and Measurex automation machinery.
• Extensive knowledge and experience working with Valmet and Measurex systems, including troubleshooting and repairs.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think quickly and find innovative solutions to technical issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to customers and team members.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel extensively, often on short notice, to customer sites to provide on-site support and service.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment, with the ability to lift heavy machinery and equipment as required.
