A Charlotte, NC based Medical Manufacturing company is searching for a Financial Controller as they continue to grow.
A bit about us:
A global medical device manufacturer, based in the greater Charlotte area, is looking for an experienced financial controller to join the US Finance team supporting the continued growth of the North American Business Unit. This person will work closely with both the existing US finance team and the Global Finance group to manage all financial reporting for North America. The role will report directly to the Group CFO.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to fill the role of a Financial Controller. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute to our company's financial health and growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all company accounts and investments.
2. Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants.
3. Motivate and lead the finance team members by clarifying roles and providing helpful feedback.
4. Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing.
5. Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
6. Develop and implement plans for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
7. Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation.
8. Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
9. Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities.
10. Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies.
11. Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations.
12. Report to the CFO with timely and accurate financial information.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
2. Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designation required.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
4. Knowledge of US GAAP and public accounting.
5. Proven experience in financial project management.
6. Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and financial reporting software.
7. Strong leadership and organizational skills.
8. Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
9. Strong analytical skills and experience generating financial reports.
10. Ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions.
11. Ability to inspire confidence and create trust.
12. Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate.
