This person will be responsible for inventory management and control, financial and cost analysis including reviewing monthly inventory adjustments & cycle count reports for large variances, updating material, labor and overhead standard costs annually and manufacturing standard costs, product bill of materials.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Financial Cost Analyst to join our manufacturing team. This position plays a crucial role in our financial planning and decision-making process, as it involves the analysis and interpretation of financial data to help our company understand its financial performance and make informed business decisions. The successful candidate will be responsible for inventory management, cost accounting, and preparing costing reports. They will also need to have a good understanding of Sarbanes Oxley Controls, be proficient in MS Excel, and have a strong grasp of financials.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks to manage and control costs.
2. Develop and maintain cost accounting system, documentation, and records.
3. Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost, and inventory liability accounts.
4. Review and audit manufacturing costs and inventory variances.
5. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
6. Conduct physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program.
7. Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
8. Validate the cost of goods sold as part of the month-end close.
9. Prepare detailed financial statements, including yearly and monthly financial reports.
10. Ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Controls and other relevant financial regulations.
11. Analyze and recommend costs and cost savings.
12. Prepare and present financial reports to management, stakeholders, and external auditors.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cost Analyst, Cost Accountant, or similar role.
3. Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial management principles and best practices.
4. Proficient in MS Excel and other financial software.
5. Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Strong knowledge of inventory management and inventory control.
7. Solid understanding of BOM (Bill of Materials).
8. Strong understanding of Sarbanes Oxley Controls.
9. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
12. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
