We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Fire Alarm / Life Safety Engineer to join our team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic individual who is passionate about safety and has a keen eye for detail. This role involves ensuring the safety of our construction projects by designing, implementing, and maintaining fire alarm systems and other life safety measures. You will be working closely with our design and construction teams to ensure that all fire safety measures are integrated into our projects from the start and are maintained throughout the project's lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

1. Designing, implementing, and maintaining fire alarm systems and other life safety measures in accordance with local and national codes and standards.
2. Reviewing and stamping drawings to ensure that they meet all safety requirements.
3. Collaborating with design and construction teams to integrate fire safety measures into our projects from the start.
4. Conducting regular inspections and tests of fire alarm systems to ensure their proper functioning.
5. Troubleshooting and repairing any issues with fire alarm systems.
6. Providing training and guidance to construction teams on fire safety measures.
7. Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in fire safety technology and regulations.
8. Preparing and presenting reports on the status of fire safety measures in our projects.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Fire Alarm / Life Safety Engineer or in a similar role in the construction industry.
2. Certification from the National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies (NICET) in Fire Alarm Systems.
3. Proven experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining fire alarm systems.
4. Proficiency in stamping drawings and ensuring they meet all safety requirements.
5. Excellent knowledge of local and national fire safety codes and standards.
6. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
8. A strong commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail.
9. Ability to train and guide construction teams on fire safety measures.
10. Ability to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in fire safety technology and regulations.
