Responsibilities:
Requirements:
- Fabricate, TIG weld, and install various types of tubing, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and propellant.
- Execute GTAW welds that meet x-ray inspection standards.
- Adhere to detailed assembly instructions.
- Clean and passivate hardware using methods such as solvent/chemical, mechanical, ultrasonic, and precision cleaning.
- Safely handle hazardous systems involving chemicals and high pressure.
- Hand fit and tack weld parts using GTAW welding as needed.
- Visually inspect welds and verify quality with borescopes and other inspection tools.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of GTAW experience; MicroTIG experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with orbital welding; hands-on experience is a plus.
- Experience with AWS D17.1 or similar GTAW welding and orbital tube welding specifications.
- Proficient in using standard mechanical tools and fabrication shop equipment (e.g., band saw, disk and belt sanders, grinders, drills).
- Skilled in using precision tools to measure tight tolerances (e.g., calipers, height gauge, scales).
