Our client, a growing real estate investment firm, is seeking a Fund Accounting Leader to join its growing team.

Responsibilities
1. Overseeing the daily accounting activities of our funds, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner.
2. Coordinating with external auditors for annual fund audits, ensuring all necessary information and documentation are readily available.
3. Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring they comply with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
4. Developing and implementing effective accounting policies and procedures to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
5. Working closely with other departments and stakeholders to provide accurate and timely financial information.
6. Identifying and implementing opportunities for process and financial performance improvements.
7. Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.

Job Details
Qualifications
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in fund accounting operations or a similar role.
3. Proven experience coordinating with external auditors for annual fund audits.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to mentor and motivate a team.
6. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial audiences.
8. Proficiency in using accounting software and other financial management tools: QuickBooks a plus.
