Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Generator Technician to join our dynamic construction team. As a Generator Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various types of generators used in construction sites. This is a permanent position that offers stability and growth opportunities.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on Cummins generators, Generac generators, and other types of generators used on construction sites.
2. Troubleshoot and diagnose generator issues, including electrical, mechanical, and fuel-related problems.
3. Perform necessary repairs and replacements of generator components, such as alternators, voltage regulators, fuel injectors, and batteries.
4. Test and calibrate generator systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
5. Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, hours worked, and any additional recommendations for future improvements.
6. Collaborate with construction site managers and other team members to ensure generators are properly installed, operated, and maintained according to safety regulations.
7. Provide emergency response and on-call support for generator-related issues that may arise during construction projects.
8. Stay updated with the latest advancements in generator technology and industry best practices through continuous learning and training opportunities.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Generator Technician in the construction industry or a related field.
2. Proven expertise in maintaining and repairing Cummins generators, Generac generators, and other similar brands.
3. Extensive knowledge of EPG Mechanic and Diesel Mechanic principles and practices.
4. Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and fuel-related issues in generators.
5. Strong understanding of generator systems, including alternators, voltage regulators, fuel systems, and control panels.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to resolve generator issues quickly and efficiently.
7. Detail-oriented with exceptional record-keeping and documentation skills.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with construction site managers and other stakeholders.
9. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with team members and clients.
10. Valid driver's license and clean driving record, as occasional travel to different construction sites may be required.
