Grant Accountant

We utilize public/private partnerships to ensure that our clients are connected to all community resources available to them.

We are growing the team and looking for a Grant Accountant to join our team!

Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret grant agreements and contracts.
• Set up and maintain grant accounts in the financial system.
• Monitor grant expenditures to ensure compliance with grant requirements.
• Prepare and submit financial reports to grantors in accordance with grant guidelines.
• Generate internal reports to track grant spending and budget variances.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and audits related to grants.
• Perform general ledger accounting duties related to grants, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate coding of all grant-related transactions.
• Reconcile grant accounts and resolve any discrepancies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in grant accounting, preferably in a non-profit or healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Strong communication skills.
