Our organization is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Permanent HIM Coding Quality Analyst to join our healthcare team. This critical position will play a significant role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our health information management (HIM) coding processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular audits, analyzing coding trends, and implementing quality improvement initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of medical coding standards, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest level of quality in all aspects of health information management.

Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular audits of medical coding data to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards and regulations.
2. Analyze coding trends and patterns to identify potential areas of risk or concern.
3. Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and integrity of HIM coding processes.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to resolve coding issues and discrepancies.
5. Provide education and training to coding staff on current coding practices and quality assurance procedures.
6. Prepare detailed reports on audit findings, coding trends, and quality improvement initiatives.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in medical coding standards and regulations.

Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in health information management (HIM) coding or a related field.
2. Extensive knowledge of medical coding standards and regulations.
3. Proven experience in conducting audits and analyzing coding data.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and patterns in complex data sets.
5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex coding issues to non-technical audiences.
6. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop effective solutions to coding issues and discrepancies.
7. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
8. Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or a related field preferred.
9. Professional coding certification (such as CCS, CPC, RHIT, or RHIA) is required.
