We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Histology Technician to join our dynamic and innovative team in the medical industry. As a Histology Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing tissue samples to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of various diseases and medical conditions. This is a full-time position with competitive compensation and benefits packages.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination using various techniques such as embedding, cutting, staining, and mounting
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as microscopes, tissue processors, and automated staining machines
• Maintain accurate records of all procedures and results in accordance with laboratory protocols and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with pathologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results
• Perform other duties as assigned by laboratory management

Qualifications:

• HT (ASCP), HTL, or equivalent certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical histology laboratory setting
• Solid understanding of histology techniques and procedures, including tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining
• Proficiency in the use of laboratory equipment and software, including microscopes, tissue processors, and automated staining machines
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and procedures accurately and consistently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
• Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulations
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and occasional weekends as needed
