Job Details

As a Senior Tax Strategist, you will be a key player in providing advanced tax planning and advisory services to HNW clients. This role is ideal for a tax professional who thrives in a strategic, consultative environment, guiding clients through sophisticated tax strategies while overseeing a team of advisors and preparers. Remote work is an option for candidates in MST / PST with occasional travel. However, we are unable to employ candidates in California.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and review complex tax returns for HNW individuals, estates, trusts, and businesses
  • Develop and implement advanced tax planning strategies to optimize clients' financial positions
  • Provide strategic tax guidance in collaboration with financial advisors and estate planning professionals
  • Research and analyze tax laws to ensure compliance and identify planning opportunities
  • Mentor and manage tax advisors, ensuring high-quality client service
  • Communicate directly with clients, providing clear, proactive tax advice
  • Support business development efforts through tax-focused client solutions

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • At least 8+ years of tax experience, with a strong focus on HNW clients
  • CPA required; Master’s in Taxation or CFP preferred
  • Extensive experience in tax review, planning, and compliance for high-net-worth individuals and families
  • Strong knowledge of estate, gift, and trust tax strategies
  • Ability to manage multiple complex client relationships and lead a team
  • Willingness to travel occasionally if working remotely; must be in our time zone
