HYBRID - Staff Accountant

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Plant Accountant to join our vibrant finance team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for crunching numbers, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of financial and cost accounting principles. This role will be integral in the financial operations of our manufacturing plant, providing key insights, and ensuring financial accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing and managing all financial aspects of the manufacturing plant, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
2. Implementing and maintaining cost accounting systems, procedures, and policies to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
3. Analyzing manufacturing costs and preparing regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
4. Conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
5. Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
6. Collaborating with the plant management team to develop financial strategies and make informed decisions.
7. Identifying and recommending cost-effective solutions to improve profitability and efficiency.
8. Working closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing plant environment.
3. Solid understanding of cost accounting and financial accounting principles.
4. Strong proficiency in Oracle Netsuite or equivalent accounting software.
5. Exceptional analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
8. Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve financial issues.
9. High level of integrity and professionalism, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
