Including, multiple spindle turning, CNC turning, transfer machines, and Swiss type turning capabilities. Job Details

Position: Hydromat Operator
Shift: Seeking either Day or Night Shift
Wage: Depends upon experience

  • Education and/or Experience - 2-3 years manufacturing experience with Hydromat required, 5 years with OJT or crane preferred, IQMS preferred but not required
  • Language Skills – Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common internal data reports, Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers or regulatory agencies. Ability to effectively present information to management and employees. Ability to interact clearly and effectively, in both written and oral communication, with supervisor, clients, staff, vendors, etc.
  • Mathematical Skills – Ability to apply concepts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages to practical situations.
  • Computer Skills - Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, utilize in-house ERP system
  • Other Qualifications – Must have valid driver’s license

  • Operating machine
  • Interchanges cutting tools within the Hydromat machine
  • Monitors and maintains fluid levels within Hydromat machine
  • Cleans Hydromat machine before and after use as needed
  • Maintains a clean and safe workstation
  • Operates crane for hydromat setup
  • Follows all necessary work instructions and procedures as laid out by company’s QMS (ISO)
  • Reports quality updates to supervisor as needed
  • Follows all established work instructions and standard operating procedures, including the “setup procedure list”
  • Follows all internal, OSHA, and outside agency safety regulations
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the individual must be able to remain in a stationary position for 10 percent of the time while operating their assigned machine. The individual also occasionally moves about on the shop floor to access tools, equipment, parts, and other necessary items to complete the work order. Most activities within the plant floor involve fine and gross manipulation of items. They must be able to exchange accurate information with customers and others in the office while interacting. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The individual must be capable of reviewing their work for errors and make adjustments as necessary.

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
