Job Details

This position will produce mechanical components and tools for use in Company’s underground pit equipment by interpreting assembly instructions or engineering drawings or diagrams.

  • Study instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists
  • Run CNC programs to produce tools & parts to dimensional/tolerance requirements
  • Participate in brainstorming / problem solving with Engineering & Production personnel to solve related problems
  • Perform preventative maintenance to equipment
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed product
  • Recommend new technologies for continuous improvement
  • Resolve assembly issues or product defects by notifying supervisor
  • Rework and/or repair assembled equipment and products according to engineering specification changes
  • Keep equipment operational by following manufacturer’s and departmental instructions, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, calling for
repairs or repairing the equipment
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment according to OSHA and as instructed by the manager to comply with procedures

Qualifications:
  • HS Diploma required, higher education with certification preferred
  • 4+ years relevant experience required
  • Must be able to read basic and complex blueprints, diagrams or engineering drawings
  • Working knowledge of various measuring gages: micrometers, pin gages, dial indicator, screw pitch gage, height gage, and comparator stand/gage
  • Experience working in a fast paced, minimum supervision environment
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
