Job Summary

• Analyze insurance policies, research insurance law, and draft insurance coverage opinions, in a range of insurance contexts, including commercial and personal lines liability insurance, life sciences insurance, and environmental insurance
• Handle the defense of insurers and insureds in litigation, including 93A or bad faith litigation, and tort cases
• Draft, prepare and handle pleadings, motions, orders, and legal memoranda
• Draft and respond to written discovery and dispositive motions
• Conduct legal research competently and with proficiency
• Prepare and take depositions of parties and experts
• Review client documents, draft case evaluations and status report correspondence and,
• Assist with and participate in mediations and court appearances

Job Qualifications

• 3+ years of insurance coverage and litigation defense experience at a national, regional, or well-regarded local law firm
• Experience with 93A claims and bad faith litigation required
• J.D. from an ABA Accredited Law School
• Member in good standing of the Massachusetts Bar
• Trial Experience preferred but not required
• Excellent writing, interpersonal, and analytical skills
• Strong team member who can handle a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage matters independently and proactively
