We are on the hunt for a dynamic and skilled IT Desktop Engineer to join our Accounting + Finance team. This is a full-time, permanent position that requires a hands-on, tech-savvy individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive 2nd tier support, troubleshooting applications, and managing mobile device support. This role requires a deep understanding of 0365 architecture, Microsoft Intune, and Powershell scripting. Responsibilities:

  • Provide 2nd tier support for all IT-related concerns, including desktop, software, hardware, and networking issues.
  • Troubleshoot applications and software for all internal users, including remote users.
  • Manage and monitor internal assets to ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Understand and support 0365 architecture and Microsoft Intune.
  • Create and manage Powershell scripts to automate tasks and processes.
  • Provide mobile device support, including setup, connectivity issues, and software installations.
  • Assist with the onboarding of new users, ensuring that all equipment, software, and user accounts are set up correctly.
  • Coordinate with the IT team to ensure that company-wide IT initiatives are implemented on time and within budget.
  • Keep current with the latest technologies and determine what new technology solutions and implementations will meet business and system requirements.
  • Manage and implement upgrades, patches, and new applications and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Desktop Support Engineer or similar role.
  • Experience with 0365 architecture, Microsoft Intune, and Powershell scripting is a must.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile device support.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware and software installation, testing, and operation.
  • Knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building, listening, and questioning skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Certifications in Microsoft, CompTIA A+, Network+ or Security+ are a plus.
