We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Director to join our team in the manufacturing industry. As an IT Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire IT department, ensuring the company's information technology projects are efficiently executed and align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT management, program management, and a proven track record of managing large scale IT projects in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement the company's IT strategy, ensuring it aligns with the business objectives.
2. Manage and oversee all IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services.
3. Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure.
4. Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes.
5. Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs.
6. Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software.
7. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT.
8. Lead and manage the IT team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
9. Ensure all IT activities are performed within the parameters of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
10. Develop and manage annual budgets for the IT department and perform cost management and cost control.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
2. 15+ years of experience working in IT operations, supervising technology teams, and overseeing large information technology projects.
3. Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems.
4. Solid background in designing/developing IT systems and planning IT implementation.
5. Proven experience in IT project management and program management.
6. Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate effectively.
7. Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
8. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
10. Proven track record of success in leadership positions.
11. Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
12. Knowledge of technological trends to build the strategy.
13. Understanding of budgets and business-planning.
14. Ability to conduct technological analyses and research.
15. ITIL or similar certification would be a plus.
