We are currently seeking a highly skilled and passionate Permanent IVF-Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals and contribute to transforming people's lives. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting our team of medical professionals in providing top-tier care and support to our patients undergoing In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatments. This role requires a deep commitment to patient care, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, emotionally charged environment.
Responsibilities
1. Assist medical staff in the preparation and execution of IVF procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are readily available.
2. Prepare patients for examinations or procedures, explaining the process and answering any questions they may have.
3. Conduct patient intake, including recording medical history and vital signs.
4. Perform phlebotomy and laboratory tasks, such as preparing specimens for analysis.
5. Monitor patients during and after procedures, recording observations and reporting any unusual occurrences to the medical team.
6. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
7. Keep accurate and detailed patient records, including procedure notes, test results, and follow-up care instructions.
8. Collaborate with the medical team to develop and implement patient care plans.
9. Provide emotional support and compassionate care to patients and their families during this emotionally charged time.
10. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay abreast of the latest advancements in IVF and reproductive health.
Qualifications
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a fertility clinic or OB/GYN setting.
2. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
3. Proficient in phlebotomy and other clinical skills.
4. Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
5. Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex medical procedures to patients in a clear and compassionate manner.
6. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
7. Ability to work well as part of a team and collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals.
8. Deep commitment to patient care and a passion for helping people start families.
9. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
10. Willingness to participate in ongoing training and education in the field of reproductive health.
