Job Details

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Systems Administrator & Desktop Support Specialist to join our IT team. This role will provide frontline support for both IT systems and desktop issues, ensuring smooth operations across all departments, particularly in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Active Directory, Office 365, Windows 10/11, and network systems while offering desktop support and troubleshooting technical problems for end-users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support for all IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory, Office 365, DNS, DHCP, Windows 10/11, and Wi-Fi networks.
  • Use remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, RDP) to assist users when necessary.
  • Install, configure, and maintain client workstations and IT equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with systems and applications, including Exchange Online, MS Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and
Mobile device management (MDM).
  • Support and maintain hardware and software inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Collaborate with the IT department to develop, implement, and maintain IT policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and support for new technologies and system updates to staff.
  • Ensure IT systems and processes comply with industry regulations and standards.
  • Communicate updates and resolutions clearly to users and maintain accurate documentation of service requests and resolutions.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of IT experience, including help desk, systems administration, or desktop support roles.
  • Proficiency in managing Active Directory, Office 365, Windows 10/11, DNS, DHCP, and Wi-Fi networks.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with systems such as MS Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, SharePoint, VMware, and
Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune).
  • Experience with remote support tools and IT help desk ticketing systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant IT qualifications or certifications are a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL, Cisco switches, and Sage ERP are a plus.
