We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Junior Industrial Engineer to join our team in the manufacturing industry. The selected candidate will be responsible for evaluating existing systems and designing advanced manufacturing processes for optimal productivity and efficiency. This role requires a hands-on approach, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The ideal candidate should be a problem-solver, able to think critically and analytically, and have a strong desire to continuously improve processes and systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct thorough evaluations of existing systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategic solutions.
2. Design and implement advanced manufacturing processes to increase productivity and efficiency.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and requirements, and develop solutions accordingly.
4. Monitor and adjust production processes or equipment for quality and productivity.
5. Prepare and present technical reports summarizing findings and recommendations to the management team.
6. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support all PPI, (Practical Process Improvement), safety, and quality activities.
7. Work closely with suppliers and customers to improve product design, eliminate waste, and investigate new technologies and machinery.
8. Use statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial engineering role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.
4. Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other related software.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
6. Exceptional communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels within the organization.
7. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
8. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma certification is a plus.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
