We are a premier CLIA Certified and CAP Accredited clinical molecular laboratory. We are dedicated to the diagnostic management of infectious disease, STI/UTI, pharmacogenomics, and COVID-19.

We use our clinical expertise to provide contracted research services for medical device industries. To manage complex disease states, we integrate microbiologic, immunologic, and genomic testing into relevant clinical pathways.

We support the full spectrum of clinical diagnostics, pharmacodynamic monitoring, and companion assay deployment for integrated delivery systems, accountable care organizations, payors, and pharmaceutical companies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

• Provide complete management and oversight for clinical lab operations while being a hands-on leader willing to roll up their sleeves to ensure the highest quality of work output
• Test Method Validation: ensures testing systems provide quality laboratory services of all aspects of test performance: preanalytical, analytical, and post-analytical
• Proficient Testing: Ensure the lab is enrolled in an HHS-approved testing program for all testing, assist in ensuring proficient test results are submitted to the accrediting agency by the deadline, and ensure corrective action plans, if required, are followed
• Analytical Performance: Ensure testing systems in use for each test performed in the lab provide quality lab services for all aspects of test performance, provide day-to-day supervision of high complexity test performance, and ensure test system performance levels are acceptable
• Quality Control and Maintenance: Ensure quality control and assessment programs are established and maintained, assist GS in ensuring QC data at established intervals, assist GS in ensuring maintenance data at established intervals
• Staffing: Ensure all personnel have proper experience and education, assist with competency assessments, assist in training staff, and ensure all personnel have passed training evaluations
• Policies and Procedures: Assists GS in ensuring the procedure manual is available to all personnel and that procedures are continuously reviewed
• Quality Assurance: oversees self-inspections on opposite years of CAP onsite inspections and Tennesse inspections
• Ensure that the physical plant and environmental conditions of the lab are appropriate for testing and provide a safe environment

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Strong working knowledge of laboratory practices and procedures
• A high level of attention to detail

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Must have required experience in one of the following scenarios:

• MD or DO with a current medical license and 1 year of training and experience in supervision of a high-complexity testing lab OR
• Doctoral degree in clinical laboratory science, chemical, physical, or biological science and 1 year of training and experience in supervision of high-complexity testing in the respective specialty OR
• Master's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science and 2 years of training and experience in supervision of high-complexity testing in the respective specialty OR
• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory science, or chemical, physical, or biological science and 4 years of training and experience in supervision of high-complexity testing in the respective specialty
