Job Details
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Execute electrical designs following the Electrical Department's procedures, standards, and specific client requirements. Work with the Managing Principal, Project Managers, and Electrical
- Team Leader to plan work and balance deliverables within budget constraints.
- Understand project schedules, status, and technical issues. Review all designs with supervisor and Department Head before submitting to clients.
- Lead technical teams to deliver quality designs for various clients. Provide technical and administrative support to assigned staff.
- Maintain extensive knowledge of relevant codes and standards to ensure compliance in all activities.
- Continuously improve team deliverable quality, communication, attitude, and efficiency.
- Design power distribution, lighting, emergency/standby power systems per NEC codes and standards.
- Develop and evaluate optimal engineering solutions for commercial, mission critical, healthcare, science/tech, government, and specialty projects.
- Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and structural engineers to integrate electrical systems into overall project goals.
- Manage project budgets and scope of work.
- Perform construction administration via field visits, field reports, RFI responses, and shop drawing reviews.
- Conduct studies for conceptual designs including site surveys, system sizing, and space planning.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of Excel, Revit, SKM, AGI 32 and AMPCALC 4 required
- Strong analytical ability
- Proven Leadership experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Degreed (BSEE preferred) and licensed or ability to attain licensure in MA within one year
- 10 to 15 years experiences in MEP consulting, design-build, architectural or construction companies
- EIT required, PE preferred LEED preferred
