As required by the US Government, applying to this position mandates applicants have the ability to obtain a "Public Trust" Clearance. US Department of State can only issue Public Trust clearance to US Citizens, after they are cleared through background investigation .

The ability to travel to U.S. and international locations is also necessary.

This is a fulltime, hybrid position located in the greater Portland Oregon area.

Our team is seeking a skilled and motivated lead software development engineer in test (SDET) to expand our automated testing. You will be working with advanced engineers locally, nationally and in Europe to design, implement, and optimize CI/CD software test frameworks for a VoIP system.

You will review software requirements for testability, write software test plans and test cases, execute these test plans to create test reports for internal and external customers. You will get hands on with our equipment to prove software correctness against system, software, and statement coverage requirements. You will collaborate closely with software and system engineering teams to ensure the test objectives and schedules are achieved. You will have opportunity to train and mentor other test engineers on the team as we continue to grow.

Must haves:
  • B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or other relevant engineering degree.
  • A minimum of 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Proven ability to understand, design, and test complex software systems.

Additional nice to have experience:
  • MS in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or other relevant engineering degree.
  • Experience in software testing for safety critical applications (medical, automotive, aerospace, or defense).
  • Understanding of the software development lifecycle and quality assurance processes.
  • Hands-on experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Development (CD).
  • Familiar with DevOps processes and tools (TeamCity, GitLab, Jenkins).
  • Excellence in scripting with Python is required.
  • Knowledge of programming with C, C++, PHP, SQL, QT QML, and Rust is desired.
  • Experience with Linux OS and Virtualization Management platforms (e.g. VMWare, Proxmox, oVirt) is desired.
  • Familiar with test case management and bug tracking tools (TestLink, Redmine, Bugzilla)
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) in English.
