Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health conditions, including evaluating their emotional, behavioral, and psychological well-being.
2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' specific needs and goals, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
3. Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions to address a wide range of mental health issues, such as anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and personality disorders.
4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and integrated care for patients, including psychiatrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
5. Monitor patients' progress throughout the treatment process, regularly reassessing their mental health status and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
6. Document all patient interactions, assessments, and treatment plans accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.
7. Conduct crisis interventions and provide immediate support to patients experiencing acute psychiatric distress or suicidal ideation.
8. Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, coping strategies, and community resources available to support their ongoing recovery.
9. Stay up-to-date with the latest research, best practices, and industry trends in the field of behavioral health to continuously enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
10. Adhere to all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality requirements.
Qualifications:
1. Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) or LMFT (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist) .
2. Minimum of 1 years of experience working as a behavioral health clinician in a medical setting.
3. Strong knowledge and understanding of various mental health disorders, diagnostic criteria, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
4. Proven ability to conduct thorough assessments, develop treatment plans, and deliver effective therapeutic interventions.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trusting relationships with patients and their families.
6. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
7. Proficient in using electronic medical record systems and other relevant software applications.
8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of the job.
9. Flexibility to work night shifts and weekends as required.
10. Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development, staying updated with the latest advancements in the field of behavioral health.
