Job Details

Seeking a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LP or LPA) to travel locally between Concord, Huntersville, and Mooresville clinics in full-day increments. Travel will vary based on caseload demands.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LP or LPA) Job Description:
Passionate about working with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
As an LP/LPA you will provide psychological services to children and adolescents. LPA's will work under the direct clinical supervision of our lead licensed psychologist. Duties include administering a broad range of psychological and neuropsychological tests including intelligence/cognitive assessments, social/emotional and behavioral assessments, achievement assessments, and other structured assessment techniques. The LP/LPA will also be responsible for conducting clinical interviews, providing feedback to parents, and maintaining all relevant documentation and authorizations in accordance with insurance regulations and insurance standards. The LP/LPA should have excellent interpersonal skills to encourage strong relationships between families and staff.
Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LP or LPA) Job Responsibilities:
● Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct psychoeducational and psychological assessment for child and adolescent populations.
● Collect relevant historical background and behavioral data about patient under the request and supervision of a licensed psychologist.
● Make careful, complete, and accurate observations regarding patient behavior, test taking attitudes, cognitive and behavioral strategies within test items, and any other relevant observation data that result or contribute to understanding patient performance.
● Administer relevant cognitive, achievement, and social/emotional and behavioral assessments to children and adolescents.
● Score assessments in an accurate and timely manner including assessments that he/she administers, or which have been administered by other departmental staff.
● Perform data entry and program execution for computer-based scoring, and assist in computer entry of assessment data for record keeping, quality assurance, and program evaluation.
● Synthesize all data gathered throughout the assessment procedures and integrate data into a psychoeducational or psychological report.
● Provide assessment feedback to clients.
● Maintain files of current assessment results and/or archived results in a timely and accurate manner and protect the confidentiality of all records.
● Stores, monitors usage, and requests orders of test materials, answer sheet equipment, and assessment software so that materials are kept in sufficient supply and assist in tracking and management of other therapeutic supplies assigned.

Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LP or LPA) Requirements:
● Must be Licensed Psychologist or Licensed Psychological Associate in the state of North Carolina.
● Appropriate degree in Psychology or related field (psychology, education, special education)
● At least 1 year of clinical experience administering and scoring a variety of assessments including intelligence, achievement and behavioral/social-emotional assessments. This may be internship experience, we do consider new graduates.
● Must be eligible for credentialing within the MCOs.
Work Remotely
● No, testing must be completed in person. In some cases, paperwork can be completed working from home.
