We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Litigation Attorney specializing in Family Law to join our dynamic team. This role is for those who are eager to make a difference in the lives of families navigating the complexities of divorce, child custody, child support, domestic violence, paternity, and alimony. The selected candidate will be responsible for representing clients in court, mediations, and negotiations, and will be a critical part of our commitment to providing exceptional legal representation.
Responsibilities:
As a Litigation Attorney for Family Law, you will be expected to:
1. Represent clients in family court proceedings and before government agencies.
2. Prepare and draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and agreements of all types including custody, divorce, child support, and alimony.
3. Handle all aspects of the litigation process including negotiation, settlements, and trials.
4. Advise clients on their legal rights in matters related to family law, ensuring they are fully aware of their legal rights.
5. Conduct thorough case research and investigation to ascertain case details and evidence.
6. Collaborate with a team of legal professionals and paralegals, and communicate effectively with opposing counsels, judicial officers, and other parties involved in the case.
7. Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
8. Advocate for the rights and interests of clients in court, ensuring their voice is heard and their rights are protected.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:
1. Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Current license to practice law in the state.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in family law, with a proven track record of successful litigation.
4. Extensive knowledge of family law and court procedures.
5. Experience in handling family law matters including divorce, child custody, child support, domestic violence, paternity, and alimony.
6. Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to solve complex problems and make decisions.
7. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
8. Strong advocacy and courtroom skills, with the ability to represent clients effectively and present compelling cases in court.
9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
10. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
