Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough and detailed case investigations to uncover essential details.
  • Review, organize, interpret, and request medical records as part of the investigation process.
  • Maintain and manage case files, ensuring all relevant information is up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Draft and review various legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
  • Handle all aspects of the discovery process, including document review and management.
  • Prepare for trials by organizing exhibits, assisting with witness preparation, and ensuring all necessary documents are in order.
  • Investigate and research complex legal questions and issues.
  • Summarize medical records and other evidence for use in legal proceedings.
  • Build and maintain positive client relations, addressing any concerns or questions promptly and professionally.
  • Adhere to all Texas rules of civil procedure and ensure all legal processes are conducted in accordance with these rules.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
  • A Paralegal Certificate is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal, preferably within personal injury or insurance defense practice areas.
  • Extensive experience with document review, drafting legal documents, and case investigation.
  • Familiarity with the Texas rules of civil procedure.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and superior organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proven experience in client relations and maintaining case files.
  • Proficiency in summarizing medical records and other complex documents.
  • Experience in products liability is a plus.
