Job Details

We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and experienced Permanent Litigation Secretary to join our esteemed legal team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation legal secretary, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality legal administrative support. This role requires a deep understanding of legal research, legal document preparation, case management, and litigation support. The candidate will also be responsible for document review, and docketing. The candidate should also possess superior administrative support skills, including calendar management, file management, and excellent communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive legal administrative support to a team of attorneys.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare legal documents.
  • Manage multiple cases efficiently, ensuring all relevant deadlines and court dates are met.
  • Provide litigation support, including preparing for depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Maintain strong client relations, ensuring all communications are handled professionally and promptly.
  • Review and analyze legal documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Handle docketing duties, including tracking and managing court deadlines.
  • Format and file legal documents in state and federal courts.
  • Utilize various software, including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, iManage, CompuLaw, Best Authority, ALN Forms, Aderant Expert Time for various tasks.
  • Provide administrative support, including managing attorney calendars, organizing files, and coordinating meetings.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a litigation legal secretary (Labor & Employment experience is a plus)
  • Extensive knowledge of legal research, legal document preparation, case management, and litigation support.
  • Proven experience in client relations, document review, and docketing.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with iManage, CompuLaw, Best Authority, ALN Forms, Aderant Expert Time (or similar systems).
  • Exceptional administrative support skills, including calendar management and file management.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Familiarity with formatting and filing legal documents in state and federal courts.
  • High degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Paralegal certification or equivalent is a plus.
