We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Logistics Supervisor for our 2nd shift operation. The ideal candidate will be bilingual in Spanish and English, with a strong background in Supply Chain Management or Logistics. This is a permanent position within the Manufacturing industry, offering an exciting opportunity to lead and manage a team of logistics professionals. The Logistics Supervisor will be responsible for the overall supervision of the logistical operations, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations, and overseeing the efficient and effective flow of goods.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the daily operations of the logistics department, ensuring all activities are carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures.
2. Coordinate and supervise the activities of the logistics team, ensuring all tasks are performed accurately and on time.
3. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and other applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
4. Develop and implement logistical plans and strategies to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
5. Monitor the performance of logistics operations, identifying issues and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
6. Conduct regular meetings with the team to communicate expectations, provide feedback, and address any issues or concerns.
7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure the smooth flow of goods from the point of origin to the point of consumption.
8. Prepare and present reports on logistics operations to senior management, providing recommendations for improvements as necessary.
9. Train and develop team members, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics, or equivalent.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a logistics supervisory role within the Manufacturing industry.
3. Bilingual in Spanish and English.
4. In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations and other applicable laws, policies, and procedures related to logistics.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members, other departments, and senior management.
8. Proficient in the use of logistics software and other relevant computer applications.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
