We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Permanent Machine Operator to join our dynamic Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a variety of machines, handling raw materials, and ensuring the smooth running of our production lines. This role requires a hands-on individual who can manage multiple tasks simultaneously, maintain a high level of precision, and adhere to safety standards. The successful candidate will have a strong background in operating lever machines and machining, with a keen eye for quality control. Responsibilities:

• Operate a variety of machines including lever machines to manufacture parts and products.
• Handle and process raw materials, ensuring they meet company standards and specifications.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings for optimal performance and quality.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure they are in good working order.
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and perform necessary repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of machine operation, including output and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth production flow.
• Regularly inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
• Assist in other areas of production as needed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a machine operating role within the engineering industry.
• Proven experience with lever machines and machining is essential.
• Ability to handle and process raw materials with precision.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair machine malfunctions.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations within the engineering industry.
• Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and operate machinery.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
• Willingness to undertake further training to enhance skills and keep up to date with industry advancements.
