Title: Machine Shop Manager
Location: Oxnard, CA
Salary: $100,000- $140,000
Requirements: Manufacturing/ Machine Maintenance / Mechanical and Electrical Engineering / CNC Machining

• Develop manufacturing plans and instructions, ensuring that they are implemented effectively and meet both short and long-term goals.
• Evaluate and implement machinery and labor needs to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
• Supervise shop supervisors and machinists, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.
• Administer labor and overhead expense budgets for the machine shops, making necessary adjustments to ensure financial targets are met.
• Utilize CAD/CAM programming software and 5-Axis CNC machining to design and produce components.
• Interpret complex blueprints to ensure products are manufactured to exact specifications.
• Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance to keep equipment in optimal working condition and minimize downtime.
• Manage the sheet metal and CNC machine shop, ensuring all projects are completed in a timely manner and meet quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Engineering, Manufacturing, or Industrial industry.
• Extensive knowledge of CAD/CAM programming software and 5-Axis CNC machining.
• Strong ability to interpret complex blueprints.
• Proven experience managing budgets and controlling costs.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
• Strong understanding of safety and equipment maintenance procedures.
• Proven track record in managing sheet metal and CNC machine shops.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
