We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Machinist to join our vibrant team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert advice on various machining processes and techniques, ensuring the highest level of efficiency and quality in our projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert consultation on various machining processes including lathe, mill, and CNC operations.
2. Conduct first article inspections to ensure the quality and accuracy of machined components.
3. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop effective machining strategies for construction projects.
4. Analyze and troubleshoot machining problems, providing solutions to improve efficiency and quality.
5. Assist in the design and development of jigs, fixtures, and other machining aids.
6. Guide and mentor team members on best practices in machining operations.
7. Continually stay updated on latest machining technologies and trends and provide recommendations for their implementation.
8. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Machinist in a professional setting, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
2. Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machines.
3. Extensive knowledge of machining processes, including lathe and mill operations.
4. Proven experience in conducting first article inspections.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
7. Proficiency in using CAD/CAM software.
8. A degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
9. Certification from a recognized machinist trade school or equivalent is an asset.
10. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
11. Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
