Maintenance Director

My client, located on Staten Island, is a reputable post-acute care facility dedicated to providing exceptional healthcare services to our patients. They are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of life safety codes and regulations, as well as a proven track record in facility maintenance management. As a Maintenance Director, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetics of our facility.

Job Overview:

• Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and renovations.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant life safety codes and regulations.
• Develop and manage a comprehensive maintenance program.
• Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff, contractors, and vendors.
• Budget and cost management for maintenance operations.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify and address maintenance needs.
• Prioritize and schedule maintenance tasks to minimize disruptions.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet facility needs efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of maintenance activities.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Director or similar role in a healthcare or post-acute care setting.
• In-depth knowledge of life safety codes and regulations.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Budget management experience is a plus.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school certification preferred.
