Maintenance Manager

My client is a leading manufacturer who is eager to fill a Maintenance Manager role. This person will be tasked with leading all production and facility maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead and motivate a team of maintenance technicians, setting clear expectations and providing guidance for their performance and

professional development.

• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.

2. Preventive and Predictive Maintenance:

• Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
• Utilize predictive maintenance techniques and technologies to identify and address potential issues before they lead to downtime.

3. Equipment Troubleshooting and Repair:

• Oversee troubleshooting and repair activities for all production equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximizing operational

efficiency.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and implement improvements to equipment design or function.

4. Spare Parts Inventory Management:

• Maintain an organized spare parts inventory, ensuring critical components are readily available to support maintenance activities.
• Establish relationships with suppliers to source quality spare parts at competitive prices.

5. Budget Management:

• Develop and manage the maintenance budget, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effective maintenance practices.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.

6. Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with relevant regulatory and safety standards.
• Conduct regular safety training and audits to promote a safe working environment.

7. Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and performance metrics.
• Generate regular reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance operations.

8. Continuous Improvement Initiatives:

• Proactively identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements within the maintenance department.
• Implement best practices and industry benchmarks to enhance overall operational effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or applicable experience.
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment, systems, and processes.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
