Job Details

1. Sets overall maintenance department goals, processes, or procedures to accomplish company objectives.
2. Ensures all health, safety, and regulations are followed.
3. Drafting maintenance reports that help measure and improve team performance.
4. Maintains and updates current preventive maintenance system as well as procedures to keep day-to-day operations running smoothly.
5. Oversees, motivates, and reviews maintenance supervisors, and technicians including management of training and professional development.
6. Supports the solving of operational problems and conflicts, determined by investigating, inspection and or review of reports or requests.
7. Review and evaluate the work of maintenance supervisors, and technicians through timely performance reviews.
8. Directs, oversees, and participates in the development of the departmental program work plan; assigns work activities, projects, and programs; monitors workflow.
9. Studies and recommends technology, procedures, and practices to improve operational efficiency; evaluates alternatives for performing needed work; attends project review meetings to evaluate progress of ongoing maintenance activities.
10. Coordinates departmental activities with other departments, provides responsible advice and counsel to upper management and department managers on a variety of operations and maintenance issues; oversees the maintenance of departmental metrics; and responds to request and prepares and presents reports to upper management.
11. Interviews potential fresh staff; prioritizes, assigns, and reviews work; approves time off for payroll purposes; prepares employee performance evaluations; monitors and participates in employee relations activities within the department; conducts activities related to succession planning, performance management, staff recognition, and other related activities.
12. Ensures that long-term training objectives are established and implemented so that staff possess the depth of technical skills and knowledge necessary to maintain effective and efficient operations as well as for succession planning management.
13. Promotes a safety-first culture and ensures that safety program requirements are always adhered to, overseas and responsible for Emergency Response for the maintenance department.
14. Making sure that maintenance staff have the tools and materials they need to perform their jobs.
15. Coordinating communication between management and staff regarding the status of maintenance projects.
16. Ensure work order and preventative maintenance records are turned in daily.
17. Ensure strict adherence to breaks and lunch schedules to ensure 5th hour lunches are avoided and to ensure coverage of departments while lunches are active.
18. Perform safety and food safety/sanitation audits and participate as an active member in the safety, quality, and food safety committees.
19. Responsible for modifying and/or suggest modifications to the equipment upon management approval, to improve its overall performance, safety, or food safety operation.
