Job Details

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure equipment reliability by performing routine, preventive, and emergency maintenance on production, processing, packaging, and utility systems.
  • Support food safety and quality programs by maintaining equipment sanitation standards and following all company protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems, including PLCs, labelers, cappers, piston fillers, kettles, and transfer pumps.
  • Participate in production line setup and machinery operation as needed to support continuous production.
  • Analyze technical documentation such as schematics, manuals, and work orders to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
  • Document all maintenance activities accurately using internal systems and ensure completion of assigned work orders.
  • Collaborate across departments to communicate maintenance needs, reduce downtime, and support operational goals.
  • Maintain proper inventory of tools, parts, and supplies; notify supervisors when restocking is needed.
  • Assist with implementation of process improvements and equipment upgrades to enhance efficiency.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), personal protective equipment (PPE), and proper handling of chemicals.
  • Clean, sanitize, and inspect equipment in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Follow all internal policies, as well as regulatory standards set by OSHA, FDA, USDA, and EPA.
  • Be available for flexible scheduling, including nights, weekends, and on-call support during breakdowns.
  • Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in a maintenance mechanic or industrial maintenance role, preferably within a food or beverage production facility.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance techniques.
  • Familiarity with electrical systems, PLCs, and industrial equipment operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Experience working in compliance with GMP, SQF, or similar food safety programs.
  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
