As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be a part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment where your skills will be utilized to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our engineering plant. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of a variety of mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. This position requires a thorough understanding of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act), and PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers). Your ability to solve complex problems quickly and efficiently will be instrumental in maintaining the high standards of our engineering operations.
Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Mechanic, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
2. Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in mechanical systems, utilizing PLCs.
3. Adhering to and enforcing GMPs and FSMA regulations to ensure the safety and quality of our operations.
4. Conducting regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
5. Collaborating with other team members to develop and implement maintenance strategies and schedules.
6. Documenting all maintenance and repair work for record-keeping and future reference.
7. Staying updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to continuously improve our maintenance practices.
Qualifications:
To qualify for the Maintenance Mechanic position, you must have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
2. Proven experience with mechanical/electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
3. In-depth knowledge of GMPs, FSMA, PLCs, and Ladder Logic.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
5. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members.
6. High attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
7. A commitment to adhering to safety standards and regulations at all times.
8. A relevant certification or degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
