Maintenance Mechanic

Family-run food manufacturing company is looking to add an experienced Maintenance Mechanic!

Monday - Friday (Saturdays as needed)
8 hour shift
Day Shift!

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in a permanent position. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of our food manufacturing equipment and machinery. You will work closely with our production team to ensure that our production runs smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regular maintenance and repairs on all food manufacturing equipment and machinery, including but not limited to conveyors, mixers, pumps, and packaging machines.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment and machinery, using your knowledge of PLC systems and other electrical and mechanical systems.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
• Work closely with our production team to ensure that equipment is properly set up and maintained to meet production demands.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies, working quickly to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including parts used and work performed.
• Ensure that all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a food manufacturing or beverage production environment.
• Strong knowledge of PLC systems and other electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose problems with equipment and machinery.
• Experience developing and implementing preventative maintenance plans.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a team and communicate clearly with production staff.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
