Position Overview:
Maintenance Planner Supervisor – Multi-Facility Food Manufacturing
A leading food manufacturing group with multiple facilities across the Los Angeles area is seeking a Maintenance Planner Supervisor to lead and streamline maintenance planning and scheduling across four production sites. This individual will also champion the implementation of RedZone, driving performance visibility and workforce productivity across the maintenance department.
This is a high-impact leadership role focused on minimizing equipment downtime, enhancing maintenance execution, and supporting plant reliability through improved planning systems and digital tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and supervise maintenance planning activities across four production facilities, working closely with local maintenance and operations teams.
Lead the RedZone implementation across all locations, ensuring proper onboarding, user adoption, reporting accuracy, and integration with existing workflows.
Utilize the CMMS to create, manage, and track all preventive and corrective work orders.
Develop daily, weekly, and long-term maintenance schedules aligned with operational priorities.
Supervise planning staff or administrative support as assigned; provide coaching and structure to ensure timely execution of maintenance tasks.
Prioritize incoming maintenance requests and coordinate labor, tools, and materials for scheduled work.
Monitor KPIs related to maintenance efficiency, labor utilization, RedZone performance, and work completion rates.
Collaborate with production leadership to schedule work with minimal impact on plant operations.
Maintain accurate records of equipment histories, maintenance logs, and spare parts inventory.
Identify and implement process improvements related to planning, CMMS usage, and team effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of maintenance planning or supervisory experience in a food processing, manufacturing, or industrial setting.
Strong working knowledge of CMMS platforms (e.g., MP2, SAP PM, eMaint, Fiix, or equivalent).
Experience with RedZone or similar digital productivity platforms is highly preferred; implementation or training experience is a strong plus.
Skilled in interpreting blueprints, schematics, and equipment documentation.
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
