This role is pivotal to our operations and the successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-level maintenance activities to ensure our machinery and equipment continue to operate at their peak. Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
2. Performing routine and preventative maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting parts.
3. Troubleshooting and repairing issues with machinery and equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
4. Using PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) systems to automate industrial machinery and processes.
5. Ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with company policies and safety regulations.
6. Documenting all performed work, including repairs made, parts used, and maintenance performed.
7. Collaborating with other technicians and staff to diagnose and solve complex maintenance issues.
8. Keeping up-to-date with the latest technological advancements in the field to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of three years' experience in a maintenance technician role, preferably within the engineering industry.
2. Hands-on experience with hydraulic or pneumatic systems.
3. Proficiency in using PLC systems to automate industrial machinery and processes.
4. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of machinery and equipment.
5. Excellent understanding of safety regulations and procedures in the engineering industry.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. A technical degree or certification in a relevant field is preferred.
