We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role requires a unique blend of technical acumen and practical skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of equipment and systems, ensuring that they are in good working order to support our daily operations. Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for a range of tasks including but not limited to:
1. Performing routine and preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment and systems including PLCs, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
2. Diagnosing and troubleshooting malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
3. Carrying out repairs in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime.
4. Working closely with the production team to understand their needs and ensure that equipment is functioning optimally.
5. Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
6. Documenting all maintenance work performed and maintaining accurate records.
7. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency and effectiveness of equipment and systems.
8. Collaborating with other members of the maintenance team to share knowledge and best practices.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance technician role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
2. Experience with PLCs, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
3. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
4. Knowledge of standard maintenance procedures, safety regulations, and best practices.
5. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. High school diploma or equivalent. A relevant certification or degree in a related field is a plus.
