My client is an industry leader in remanufacturing of automotive transmissions. As they grow, they are looking to add a Manufacturing Engineer focused on driving continuous improvement activities to their team.

We are seeking an experienced Permanent Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and implementing lean manufacturing processes and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize our production system. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient and effective operation of our manufacturing processes, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement lean manufacturing processes to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and increase productivity
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve manufacturing issues
• Design and implement manufacturing processes and equipment to support new product development and ensure smooth production ramp-up
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards
• Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process flow diagrams
• Provide technical support to manufacturing teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Participate in the development and implementation of new product introduction plans
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in the automotive industry
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and manufacturing software applications
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, and testing
• Familiarity with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001 or TS 16949
